A little bit about me.

Alexis Guzman is an in-house teacher at a Sports Management and Leadership school in Las Vegas and a first-semester graduate student at Emerson College, pursuing a master’s in Journalism and Media. A first-generation college student from Henderson, Nevada, Alexis earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Clinical and Mental Health, along with minors in Counseling and Social Justice, from Nevada State University.

Alexis brings a unique perspective to storytelling, combining experience in education, media, and leadership with a passion for social equity and community engagement. Previously, Alexis has held roles in management, youth coaching, and communications, and currently serves as Vice President of the PRSSA chapter at Nevada State University. Through journalism, Alexis explores human experiences, social issues, and cultural narratives with clarity, empathy, and impact.
